Raymond Wirick has been a professional sculptor and painter for over 30 years. He currently lives and works in Marshfield near Bath, U.K. with his lovely wife and two daughters.

His work deals primarily with an interpretive use of figure, color and the dialogue that exists between man and his environment. Using the figure as poetic "device", his paintings and sculptures depict man's transient nature, a nature that compels self-discovery and truth. Often narrative, this dialogue found through self-discovery tells his story.

By enlisting modern myth and archetypes, the dialogue between character and universe demonstrate the strengths, weaknesses and the arrogance of man through time.

Currently, circus characters, cartoons, childhood toys, monsters, and super-heroes from his youth regenerate through his work as contemporary myth. Edited and manipulated these characters compliment the world as he observes it.
